Greetings everyone! Apologies for the extended hiatus, we have been hard at work collecting files and organizing them, as well as making some improvements to the website!
First things first, we have been slowly but surely transferring files over from the Google Drive into our own Hardware, Unfortunately this is taking more time than we would like, however this is slowly being completed.
We have received a few more file donations, which were all very useful. Recently Korrigan from SAS has graciously uploaded some skins to the project, as well as uploading some campaigns from around 2011. These appear to mostly be Poltava and other prominent campaign makers of there day, most of which are still archived on mission4today. Regardless, it is still good to archive these, should m4t fall.
Additionally, Timex62 from SAS has mailed Ta183huckebein a flash drive FILLED with treasures. Included on this drive were:
- Backgrounds, such as the one featured as the cover photo for this post on our website: https://il2rrr.com
- 208 BAT Campaigns
- 623 Campaigns circa 2000-2006
- 12 Multiplayer Coop Campaigns
- 1076 Single Missions circa 2000-2006
- Some music files and some skins.
Lars from SAS has donated 246 various campaigns as well.
As we sort through these files, and as we find interesting ones, or perhaps ones that stand out, we will make reference to them in these updates to encourage the viewers to go take a look at them!
A warning however, some of these missions and campaigns are from before the game engine changes that 1946 went through, and therefore results may vary when attempting to run them in modern game installs. Users may have to tinker in the FMB to fix some small issues, i.e taxi to takeoff issues, etc, as well as skins used may not be included. Simply opening the .MIS files and looking what skin is used and then searching in RRR should find the skin however.
Our first file of interest is titled OneDay by fabianfred, which is a single mission or mini campaign about a day in the life of a Battle of Britain pilot.
fabianfred puts it best:
"One Day…
This mission is a ‘single’ mission for off-line use, and is designed to try and simulate a single day during the Battle of Britain when there were often several sorties flown in one day. It is therefore one mission, but there are four sorties to be flown in… provided that you survive to do so. And of course it is in ‘real-time’ so you may have to wait a while between the seperate ‘actions’.
With that in mind you will find it necessary to choose unlimited fuel and ammo in the ‘difficulty’ settings, also map icons are useful, at least for the first time…later when you have got the hang of what is happening you may choose to go for a more realistic setting.
You will be Squadron leader for the first sortie of the day at 0630 hrs.
This means that after landing from your first sortie, you should taxi to a place suitable for your next take-off, but not interfering with other units using the same airfield. You can then turn off your engine but do not leave your aircraft! You can relax and go to the toilet, have a coffee, pick up a book…(preferably a flying one, such as ‘Reach for the Sky’) but keep an ear out and have your sound turned up too. You may hear an air-raid siren go off, which should cause you to park your coffee and book, and go to external views for a look-see and get an idea of what is happening. If you see aircraft starting up you should do the same and be prepared to follow them on their ‘Scramble’"
This is a very interesting concept and we will look forward to setting aside some time to play it. The download link can be found here: IL2RRR Cloud
Our next interesting file is titled Belle by Shotgun Red. Here is a direct quote from the readme:
“The Memphis Bell was the first American Bomber to complete all 25 missions and return home. She flew from November 7, 1942 to May 19, 1943. Her 26th mission was her flight home. This campaign tells Her story from the German point of view. This campaign is based upon the book “The Man Who Flew The Memphis Belle” by Col. Robert Morgan, USAFR, Ret., with Ron Powers. Robert Morgan was the Captain of the Memphis Belle for 25 of her 26 combat missions over France, Belgium and Germany during WWII.”
Here is the download link to the campaign, as well as the singular skin it uses, the Memphis belle skin.

Skin: IL2RRR Cloud
To install the campaign, extract the zip and copy it into the “Missions/Campaign/DE”.
To install the campaign, place the bmp file into “PaintSchemes/Skins/B-17” folder (I would recommend placing the skin in all the B-17 folders as it is unclear which B17 version is used in this campaign).
Our 3rd and final files of interest is titled “Cutting Cards with the Devil” by grimreaper. Here is an excerpt from the readme:
"‘CUTTING CARDS WITH THE DEVIL’: A non-historical single mission for (FB/AEP/PF) v3.04m.
Scotland, May 1941. You are a pilot in one of the Czechoslovakian squadrons of the RAF. Details have been leaked to Czech intelligence that Rudolph Hess, the deputy fuhrer of Nazi Germany, is currently in Scotland and that he has negotiated a secret armistice that will end Britain’s involvement in the war. The terms of the peace treaty, however, will leave Czechoslovakia under German occupation for ever. To wreck the treaty and keep alive the hope that your country will one day be liberated you must ensure that Hess does not leave British shores alive. But is all really as it seems?
Press ctrl+F2 for static cameras.
Unzip into your Missions\Single\GB-folder and transfer the skins to their appropriate locations."

We are actively working on a decryption method in order to decrypt NetCache folders, as well as continuing to organize files that come in.
We continue to persevere and look for more files! When we say anything, we mean anything, from any time. I had started to begin to think that perhaps there was not that many files missing, however Timex’s files have proved me wrong. Even single missions, or your net cache folders from back in the day would help a lot. If you have things to upload, please contact me, either through here, or on SAS (sercrets), or through my email, josiah.tonner@gmail.com.
We are hoping the next update will come sooner. Thank you for your continued support.
It is with great hope that we await more files as well as additional support.
Cheers,
The RRR team.
